Our commitment
LyricsSol respects the intellectual property rights of songwriters, publishers and other rights holders. We publish song lyrics for reference, education and commentary, together with our own editorial analysis. If you own the rights to a work and believe it has been used on LyricsSol in a way you do not authorise, we want to make it easy to put right.
How to request removal or correction
If you are a rights holder (or their authorised agent), send a notice to dmca@lyricssol.com that includes:
- identification of the copyrighted work concerned (for example, the song title and rights holder);
- the exact URL(s) on lyricssol.com where the material appears;
- your name, organisation and contact details (email and, ideally, a phone number);
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law;
- a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf;
- your physical or electronic signature.
What happens next
We review every valid notice and aim to respond within 48 hours. Where a claim is valid, we will remove or disable access to the material, or correct the credit, as appropriate. We may also notify the person who submitted the content, if applicable.
Counter-notice
If you believe content was removed in error, you may send a counter-notice to dmca@lyricssol.com with your contact details, identification of the removed material and its previous location, and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake. We will review counter-notices in good faith.
Repeat infringers
We will, in appropriate circumstances, restrict or remove contributions from anyone who repeatedly submits infringing material.
