Who is Khasa Aala Chahar?
Khasa Aala Chahar (born Abhishek Chahar on 21 October 1998 in the village of Khasa, in the Hisar district of Haryana) is one of the most popular and highest-paid stars in Haryanvi music — a singer, lyricist, composer and actor who has won a huge following across North India.
From lyricist to star
He did not start out as a singer. Chahar first entered the Haryanvi music industry as a lyricist, writing "Jat Jatni 1" and "Jat Jatni 2" in 2019, which were sung by Sukh Deswal. He then stepped up to the mic himself.
Breakthrough: "Father Sahab"
His own single "Father Sahab", released in May 2019, became a phenomenon — a heartfelt tribute that struck a chord nationwide and has racked up well over 330 million views on YouTube. It established him as a leading voice of the Haryanvi scene practically overnight.
Status and style
Today Chahar is among the highest-paid performers in Haryanvi music, reportedly commanding ₹20–25 lakh per show. His music blends Haryanvi folk roots with modern production and proud, grounded themes of family, identity and rural pride.
Recent work
In 2026 he featured on 4WD, a Haryanvi-Rajasthani track produced by LXY Music.
