Who is Deep Kalsi?
Deep Kalsi (born Gagandeep Singh on 6 November 1996) is an Indian singer, rapper, songwriter and music producer based in New Delhi. A versatile figure in the Indian desi hip-hop scene, he is known both for his own records and for his production work behind the boards.
Early start
He released his first song at just thirteen, and seriously pursued production from his mid-teens, joining a beat-making academy in 2014 and setting up his own home studio to mix and master his own music — a self-made path into the industry.
Career
After years of grinding, he was signed by the Delhi label DNH (Dreams and Hustle), founded by Ankit Khanna, where he worked alongside artists such as Kr$na, Karma and Harjas — his first major track being "Woofer" with Kr$na in 2017. He is now part of Kalamkaar, the influential label founded by Ankit Khanna and Raftaar, placing him at the heart of one of India's biggest hip-hop camps.
Recent work
In 2026 he released Group, a Punjabi collaboration with the celebrated singer Gurlez Akhtar — a pairing of new-school production and a classic Punjabi voice.
