Who is Nora Fatehi?
Nora Fatehi (born Naura Fathi on 6 February 1992 in Toronto, Canada) is a Canadian singer, dancer and actress of Moroccan descent who built her career in India and has since expanded into a global music presence. Widely regarded as one of contemporary Indian cinema's most magnetic dancers, she has turned that fame into a multi-lingual, cross-continental pop career.
Rise in India
She made her acting debut in Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans and became a household name through show-stopping dance numbers such as "Dilbar", "Saki Saki" and "Kamariya". In 2021 she became the first African-Arab female artist whose song — "Dilbar" — crossed one billion views on YouTube, a milestone that underlined her enormous reach.
Going global
Fatehi launched her international music career in 2019 with "Pepeta", her English-language debut alongside Tanzanian star Rayvanny, and has increasingly positioned herself as a bridge between Indian, Arab, African and Western pop. Drawing on her Moroccan heritage, she sings and performs across multiple languages.
Football-season music
In 2026 she leaned into football-themed music around the World Cup, describing it as "music with a purpose". That run includes Champions (Fi Kol Makan), a celebratory global dance anthem with Rayvanny and producer Sanjoy that blends Afrobeats, Arabic and dance-pop.
