Who are TREASURE?
TREASURE (트레저) are a South Korean boy group under YG Entertainment who debuted in 2020 and quickly became one of the label's flagship acts. Known for bright, hook-driven pop and powerful performances, they have built a large international following — their fandom is called Treasure Maker — and have been especially popular across Asia.
Formation
The group was assembled through the survival show YG Treasure Box, and made their debut in 2020 backed by the full weight of YG's production machine. From the outset they balanced youthful, melodic pop with the polished, high-budget visuals the label is known for.
Career and signature songs
From their debut, TREASURE scored a run of catchy hits including "Boy", "Jikjin", "Hello", "Bona Bona" and "King Kong". The group also features a strong rap line in Choi Hyun-suk, Yoshi and Haruto, which has become increasingly central to their sound.
NEW WAV and a hip-hop turn
In 2026 they released their fourth mini album NEW WAV, their first record built entirely on hip-hop-based sounds, executive-produced by Yang Hyun-suk. It broke the group's first-day sales record and crossed a million copies in its first week, led by the title track IF I and including the rap-unit track Nally-Na (Hyunhayo) — a clear statement of a bolder new direction.
