Who are V8?
V8 are a sub-unit of the K-pop group SEVENTEEN, formed by two of its members — THE 8 and VERNON. The pair debuted as a duo on 29 June 2026 with their self-titled first mini-album, V8, released through HYBE's Pledis Entertainment.
The members
THE 8 (Xu Minghao) is SEVENTEEN's Chinese member, known as a dancer and, increasingly, a DJ and style-forward creative. VERNON (Choi Hansol) is the group's Korean-American rapper, born in New York and raised between the United States and Seoul. Together they lean into a cooler, more alternative and hip-hop-tinged register than SEVENTEEN's polished mainstream pop.
Sound and debut
The V8 EP pairs the duo with heavyweight collaborators — including 14-time Grammy winner Pharrell Williams and longtime SEVENTEEN producer BUMZU — for a stylish, groove-driven record.
