Gippy Grewal (born Rupinder Singh Grewal on 2 January 1983 in Koom Kalan, Ludhiana) is an Indian singer, actor, film producer and director who works primarily in Punjabi music and cinema. He is one of the most successful and recognisable figures in the entire Punjabi entertainment industry.
Music career
Gippy rose to fame with a string of Punjabi hits and reached a global audience when his track "Angreji Beat" was featured in the Bollywood film Cocktail (2012). He has released numerous chart-topping singles and albums over two decades, blending bhangra energy with pop production.
Film career
As an actor and producer he headlines the hugely popular Carry On Jatta comedy franchise and has appeared in and produced many of Punjabi cinema's biggest releases, making him a rare double threat as both a music and box-office star.
Recent work
In 2026 he released Goliyan, a duet with Neha Bhasin, composed by Jatinder Shah with lyrics by Happy Raikoti.
